Tingsha
or tin shas are a pair of circular cast metal bells or cymbals joined
by a leather cord. Tingsha can be struck together and used during meditations
where they can signal the beginning and end of meditation sessions without
using the voice which can be disruptive. When played gently the sound
of tingshas is noticed but is very gentle and can increase awareness.

When
struck together Tin Shas (Tingsha) produce a clear and resonant
tone. They can be used in meditations or for Feng Shui.
Tin shas (Tingsha) are about 2.5 inches (6 cm) diameter. £11.99

Each of
the cymbals ring but because they are slightly different in note the
sound of tingsha has a fascinating shimmering quality. Their sound can
also be used as part of space clearing or in Feng Shui. They are sometimes
known as temple chimes or hand cymbals.
Ting sha
are available in a natural metal finish or black lacquered to show the
raised designs more clearly.
There is
a lot of confusion over spelling. The most common versions are tingsha
and ting sha (sometimes ting-sha) but alternatives are tingshas, tinshas,
tin shas (tin-shas) and tin shas.
We
also have a similar design of tingsha or temple chimes with a
black lacquered finish at £14.99
There
are a variety of patterns available.
