We have acquired a small quantity of aeroplane bookends. We think these may be based on the Dakota DC3 but are not sure of this. If any aeroplane enthusuiasts could confirm this or put us right on what it actually is we would be very pleased.
The bookends are made from cast aluminium which has been painted. Book ends are not our usual line of business but we were so impressed with the quality of these that we decided to get a few sets. The upper photograph shows one side of the book ends holding some books between the the two parts of the aeroplane and the lower photograph shows the back (although the books have been turned around for some reason).
We are afraid that you will have to get your own books although we can recommend the two in the photographs.
